Memorial Day Weekend Cookout

Staff EditorEvents

We had a great time on May 27 at 6:30 p.m. and gathered for a carry-in dinner with side dish favorites and hamburgers on the grill. Our friends and family, including a few unexpected but welcome guests, came and enjoyed the evening with us.

After the meal, worship leader Isaac Craft lead those who gathered in a time of praise and worship. He lead them in five songs including “The Old Rugged Cross.”

After the worship time, Pastor Ed Craft spoke from Mark 4, about Jesus and the disciples on a stormy sea. Though Jesus calmed the storm, he then questioned the disciples about their faith.
The disciples forgot that Jesus was the 13th man in the boat, that he wasn’t going to let them drown, and that with faith they too could have rebuked the storm.

The end result of this article is that anyone reading this is also welcome to our church. Our next dinner with burgers on the grill will be for July 4th, but you don’t have to wait that long. We have a dinner every Wednesday. Come join us.
